How To Use The New Blogger Dashboard

If you use blogger to blog and have signed-in today (23/11/2016), you may have noticed a change in your blogger dashboard. I was quite surprised at the change and saw the press release on the official blogger blog. They said:
We’ll be making some adjustments over time to bring you a faster, easier to use and more beautiful Blogger.

To kick things off, we’ve taken a crack at simplifying Blogger’s dashboard so that it’s easier for you to get right to the tools you need. Now, whenever you open Blogger, you’ll be taken right to your blog with the most recent post, putting you one click or tap closer to drafting something new.

We’ve also updated Blogger’s header bar, making it consistent with what you’ll find in other Google products. And as part of our commitment to building products that are accessible for all, we’ve adjusted Blogger’s colors to make things easier to see.

We’re starting small with these adjustments, but hope they help you create more amazing work. Please send any feedback our way and stay tuned for more updates to come.

Happy blogging!
So, for those who may not understand how to navigate/use the new dashboard, here is a simple reference guide with pictures.

The changes to the new dashboard that I have noticed include:
  1. Showing blog with the latest post when signed-in.
  2. Showing the name of the post author when writing a blog post.
  3. Added special characters to the post editor (this was added earlier this month though).
When you sign-in to your account, you will see a screen like this:

Blogger introduces new dashboard

Your blog with the latest post is shown. To view your other blogs (if you have more than one blog) or to create a new blog, click the drop-down arrow beside your blog name. Below is an image that explains it:

To be honest, just like +Sergio M. Vincent said in reply to the press release, I prefer the old dashboard because I could see all my blog stats at one click; though the new dashboard is kinda simpler.

So, what do you think of the new blogger dashboard? Do you like it? Tell me your response by commenting below.
